I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating our project
As already decided in the previous sections, we will create our ProductService in ASP.NET Core or C#, using Visual Studio. Let's see what steps are required to do this:
- Start Visual Studio.
- Create a new project by navigating to File | New | Project.
- From the template options available, select ASP.NET Core Web Application, name it FlixOne.BookStore.ProductService, and click on ok.
- Next, select Web API from the template screen and click on ok.
