3 FEASIBILITY ASSESSMENT AND BUSINESS CASE DEVELOPMENT

INTRODUCTION

This BASF service is concerned with describing the rationale for a proposed business change, identifying and evaluating options for achieving the change, and defining and quantifying the benefits and costs associated with the change. The objective is to provide senior management with a business case that enables them to make an informed decision on whether and how to proceed.

Figure 3.1 illustrates that there are three aspects to producing a robust business case, and there is a range of techniques that can be employed within each.
