So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

One of the most alluring aspects of business intelligence (BI)—the graphic visualization—also presents a bit of a conundrum to the BI professional. Upon the initiation of a BI program, a common pattern is that the first task be the review and selection of tools, especially when visual fireworks triggered interest in instituting a BI program in the first place. In fact, the review and selection of front-end presentation tools is often seen as the gating factor for delivering value.
