I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 10. Platform Selection, Technology Biases, and Other “Traps”
I felt it best to save this chapter for near the end of the book. There are some who insist that their BI strategy must reside on a predetermined platform, and they simply will not budge or be open to alternative solutions. Sometimes, this will be done even to the detriment of the enterprise in the long run, but it is the most expeditious solution available.
If you have been with your respective company for any length of time and have been involved with IT, you have probably encountered a number of BI solutions that have been attempted.
