The chcon command can also be used with the _t option to change the context of the file. This method of modifying the context of the file is not recommended, as errors can happen while using it. The chcon command, when used, writes the new context to the filesystem, but the policy remains unchanged. Hence, changes made using this command get overwritten on relabeling the SELinux context on the filesystem.
