As with all products and services, the rate at which users will migrate to the cloud will follow a common pattern. FIGURE 16-5 illustrates a typical adoption cycle. What’s interesting to note is that the innovators, early adopters, and early majority of adoptions comprise only 50 percent of the eventual market. Based on that, the cloud has a very large growth still from the late majority and laggards.
