It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Optimizing and memory-leak detection are large topics that are not completely covered in this appendix, but enough information is provided to meet the needs of most applications. The rules of thumb provided represent best practices that can save a lot of time and effort optimizing and debugging.
