Summary
This chapter describes how to obtain information about files, processes, and the operating system. Cocoa applications can be integrated with the operating system’s workspace and use applications such as Finder to manage files. This chapter also provides general information about operating-system security, and the security vulnerabilities of Cocoa applications.
The next chapter explains how to use operating system networking features from Cocoa including ways to communicate with other applications such as Finder. Networking and interapplication communication features enable tight integration of Cocoa applications with the operating system and other applications.
