So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What You Need to Use Cocoa
Apple provides everything needed to develop Cocoa applications for Mac OS X. Apple’s developer tools are shipped on a CD-ROM in the same box with the Mac OS X operating system CD-ROM. Cocoa can be used with Java, AppleScript, C++, and other languages, but knowledge of C is required in most cases. The Cocoa objects are written in Objective-C.
This book provides an introduction to Objective-C for programmers who are already familiar with C. Objective-C consists of a small set of extensions to ANSI standard C. C programmers with experience using one or more object-oriented languages can learn Objective-C very quickly.
