MAKING A SWAN COSTUME
The inspiration for the swan costume used in Elves and Shoemaker (Figure 14-1) came from a ballet tutu with many layers of fabric closely attached to a dance trunk. The layered feathery fabrics were arranged in gradated colors that added flavor and an effective, interesting look to the whole outfit.

• Nylon organza (white)
