Chapter 23 Altering Men’s Jackets
There are many changes that can be made to men’s jackets or coats. These can be as simple as changing the lapels, collars, pocket flaps, or sleeve cuffs; edging the entire jacket; or making double pleats at back of the jacket.
ALTERING A MODERN JACKET TO A SMOKING JACKET
This jacket was altered for a production of 13 Rue de L’Amour (Figure 23-1). Changes were made to the jacket’s lapels, collar, pocket flaps, and sleeve cuffs.
