Making sure that your newly minted data governance program has any chance of success after day one means paying attention to the requirements of day-to-day operations. For example, without a plan for ongoing communications, it’s possible that team members will lose sight of the program’s value, or they may not recall their obligations. Either of these two possibilities alone could be enough to create weaknesses that make the program vulnerable to failure.
In the chapter, I explore a few of the areas that a data governance team must consider in running the day-to-day of a successful data governance program.
