Before I finish the minibook on lenses, I would like to encourage you to seek out alternative designs. Even though a lens must fit your camera body, not every lens has to fit the same mold. In fact, you can have a lot of fun with creative lenses or accessories like the ones I showcase in this chapter. The wide range of different and sometimes exotic lenses that are available really sets dSLRs apart from smartphones, tablets, and other types of digital imaging devices.
Note: You may want to mount your camera on a tripod or monopod for support when using lenses with small apertures so that you can work with longer shutter speeds.
