Exposure is a funny thing. Most people leave it up to the camera and capture fantastic shots. You can also take control of things yourself. Either way, it helps to know a thing or two about exposure so that you can capture the photos and movies that you want. A little bit of knowledge will also help you troubleshoot if things don’t go the way you want them to.
Even if you plan on letting the camera do most of the work for you, this is a very practical chapter for you to digest. I start by covering a few things about exposure in general, and then I move on to monitoring exposure on your camera. You also learn how to choose between different metering modes, review photos, and analyze histograms. I wrap things up by sharing some tips on troubleshooting exposure problems.
