Name
locationbar, menubar, personalbar, scrollbars, statusbar, toolbar — NN 4 IE n/a DOM n/a
Synopsis
These six objects belong to the window object and represent portions
of the “chrome” surrounding the content area of the
browser window. With signed scripts in Navigator 4 (and the
user’s permission), you can dynamically hide and show these
elements in a browser window. These features can also be turned off
via the third parameter of the window.open( )
method, but only when generating a new window. To change the
visibility of these items in an existing window, signed scripts are
required.
