About the Author
Brian Culp rode to dinner in an electric vehicle in 2017, and the experience changed his life. He became an EV owner in 2018, an EV automaker employee in 2019, and most recently, an electric bicycle owner in 2021.
As an EV owner and enthusiast, he’s spent almost every spare moment between 2018 and today learning about charging infrastructure, battery chemistry, and the engineering (and ethical) challenges surrounding autonomous driving. As the Technical Publications manager at Lucid Motors, Brian has gotten first-hand knowledge about EV tech, performance, engineering, and service.
Additionally, Brian has an extensive track record of explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience. He's presented at MacWorld and for Microsoft Across America. His courses on Udemy are global bestsellers. And, over a 15-year span, he's authored or contributed to over 30 publications.
Brian and his wife (who is a software engineer for a competing EV manufacturer) live in Silicon Valley. He loves hearing from readers and students, and you can connect at linkedin.com/in/hmsbrian, or email directly at hmsbrian@gmail.
