Should I have led with that? Maybe so. I’m spending a massive amount of time and energy extolling the upsides of electric vehicles, and here I am in a late chapter advising you not to bother. Talk about burying the lede.

Look: I don’t pretend to know what’s best for your transportation needs, especially given how most of the US has been built after World War II.
