Now that we’ve looked at the various Ethernet media systems, this section covers how to build Ethernet local area networks. The chapter on structured cabling describes the structured cabling standards and how structured cabling systems are organized. The chapters on twisted-pair and fiber optic media explain how the cables and connectors work, and how to use them.
