So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
CHAPTER 2Strengthen the Beam
To move more weight with a lever, you either have to apply more input force, improve or reposition the fulcrum to magnify the output, or strengthen the beam so it can handle more strain. In chapter 1, we looked at the input force. This chapter looks at the beam, while chapter 3 addresses the fulcrum.
To strengthen the beam of your organizational lever, you need the right people in place, armed with the right skills needed to execute in the moment. As Steven Gangwish, Vice President of CSS Farms, told me,
