To move more weight with a lever, you either have to apply more input force, improve or reposition the fulcrum to magnify the output, or strengthen the beam so it can handle more strain. In chapter 1, we looked at the input force. This chapter looks at the beam, while chapter 3 addresses the fulcrum.
