The Netherlands is teeming with activity with regards to photography. There are many organizations dedicated to showing, promoting, or publishing photographic images and educating and supporting photographic practitioners. The field, however, is dominated by the four photography museums, which have come into existence more or less simultaneously at the start of the twenty-first century.
