So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

誕生から30年を経て、Pythonの人気は今も高まり続けています。しかしもちろん、Pythonも完璧なわけではありません。例えば、標準ライブラリでの記法の中にキャメルケース（CamelCase）とスネークケース（snake_case）そして連結された語（joinedwords）が混在しているのは、とても腹立たしい点の1つです。ただし、言語の定義や標準ライブラリは巨大なエコシステムの一部にすぎません。利用者や貢献者のコミュニティこそが、Pythonのエコシステムの最大の長所です。
コミュニティが力を発揮した好例を1つ紹介します。筆者が本書の第1版でasyncioについて執筆していたときに、ある点に不満を抱えていました。このAPIには大量の関数が含まれ、そのいくつかはコルーチンです。コルーチンはyield from（今はawait）を用いて呼び出す必要があり、通常の関数とは区別しなければなりません。このことはasyncioのドキュメントに記載されていたものの、特定の関数がコルーチンかどうかを調べるだけのために数段落も読まなければならないことがありました。そこで、筆者はpython-tulipグループに「Proposal: make coroutines stand out in ...
