When I first started freelancing on Fiverr, I was beyond content with my business embedded right inside of the platform. I was free to move around wherever I wanted to, I could take naps in the middle of the “workday” if I didn't feel well, and I was making more than any corporate job was ever going to pay me. I was happy as sh*t.
As time wore on, I started to experience the typical yearning for something more with my business. Any freelancer or entrepreneur will agree—it's always about the journey, never the destination. I am no different. My Fiverr business was booming, I had no debt, and I felt pretty freaking grateful that I made that irresponsible decision to quit my job at only 22 years old. Yet, my mind wondered: Could I replicate this process … again? Is there more I could be doing? Had I conquered the first step of building a freelancing empire?
I started to explore the concept of taking my Fiverr momentum and turning it into my own business—something that was unequivocally mine. The entire purpose of freelancing in the first place is to be your own boss. We all want autonomy and control over our income.
