Transfer is the bridge from skills learned in the training setting to skills applied in the workplace. When learningtransfers, individuals apply new knowledge and skills acquired during training to the job. Without transfer, there is no return on the training investment. In spite of its importance, transfer failure is common. Ways to use visuals to promote transfer differ for near and far transfer learning and for retrieval of factual knowledge.
