Vijay Kumar Thakur, PhD, graduated with a BSc

in chemistry (nonmedical), physics (nonmedical), and

mathematics (nonmedical); BEd; and MSc in organic

chemistry from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla,

India, in 2006. He then moved to the National Institute

of Technology, Hamirpur, India, where he obtained his

doctoral degree in polymer chemistry from the Chemistry

Department in 2009. After a brief stay in the Department

of Chemical and Materials Engineering at Lunghwa

University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, he

joined Temasek Laboratories at Nanyang Technological
