Fighting homophobia: In response to the suicide of an adolescent who was bullied, screenwriter and director Gregor Schmidinger launched a crowdfunding campaign with the goal of raising $6,000 to film a story about a young boy coming to terms with his sexuality and having to deal with the social pressures as well. He raised well more than that and made a 23-minute film that received over 100,000 views.
