When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

My husband, Ed, is a Maverick Leader. On our first date in 2008, I was working on the manuscript for my last book, Fascinate, and literally showed up with a laptop. Despite this totally lame move, he’s been my partner and best friend ever since. Ed is the one who developed the concept of a personality assessment based on the science of fascination. He’s been by my side the whole way, literally traveling around the globe with me so I could research the principles of fascination, and share them. We’re rarely apart. This past year, he quit his highly successful twenty-five-year career as a trial lawyer to officially take on the role of president of our company. Suffice to say, he fascinates me.
