I If you want to drive from A to B you can use a map or punch in
the postcode on a Sat Nav to show you which route to use. But
the map is not the territory and does not show the traffic, the
roadworks, diversions, visibility and all kinds of other
experiences you will have en route. In a similar way, the
meanings you put on your experiences are only your
interpretations – yet you might act as if this were the real
territory and believe it to be the map.
