So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 10Why Fear Isn't Always Your Enemy
I recently came across some research that I found both sad and surprising. According to a Gallup poll, only 13% of people are actively engaged at work. So, I feel incredibly fortunate, as I'm definitely part of that 13%. You see, my work is also my hobby. I'm passionate about it. I've been consuming personal development books for over 30 years now – not out of duty, but out of desire. I've also heard some of the top speakers in the world on the subject of motivation and success. Some have lived up to their hype, others less so.
However, whatever the quality of the speaker, when it comes to the subject of success they all seem to have one thing in common – they give the subject of ‘fear’ a hard time. ...
