6.2 Security
Security is a very important issue in all information technology systems. Because
DB2 Everyplace is part of WebSphere Everyplace Deployment, you will not only
be able to use DB2 Everyplace security features, but you will even be able to use
WebSphere Everyplace Deployment shared security features.
We will look at several security features available with WebSphere Everyplace
Deployment which provide ways to secure data transmission between client
devices and the synchronization server during synchronization sessions, and
which also guarantee a secure access to DB2 Everyplace administration
components.
