Shapes play an important role in describing the objects in images. Shape analysis is an essential branch of image analysis. The analysis of a shape should be based on shape properties and various available techniques. On the one hand, a property can be described by several techniques/descriptors. On the other hand, a technique can describe several properties of a shape.
