Table Setup
Use the Table Setup tab of the Table Options dialog to adjust general table formatting options:
Table Dimensions. When you create a table by placing Microsoft Word or Excel data, InDesign automatically creates the correct number of rows and columns required to accommodate all the source information. However, if you’re creating a table from scratch, you’ll want to use the Table Dimensions controls in the Table Options dialog (Figure 12.6). Enable the Preview option, enter the number of rows and columns and how many rows should repeat as running header and footer rows, and InDesign will create the cells for you.
