Overview
A policy should also define storage of the information when an
employee is away from his/her work station, and may include a locked
or secured central storage area. The reason for this high level of security
is that in a misappropriation lawsuit a court’s inquiry will not only focus
on the bad acts of the accused party, but will also examine and consider
whether the company defending its trade secret rights adequately
maintained and safeguarded its secrets.
