Abstract: In daily life we come across numerous different
trademarks, which are another form of registered intellectual
property. This chapter defines the different forms of trademarks. It
also describes how you can create and register your own trademark
– it is not as difficult as people sometimes tend to believe. In
addition, some related forms of IP are presented, such as protected
geographical status in the European Union and domain names for
websites.
