So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Route Summarization
RIP-2 summarizes on route boundaries just like RIP-1. However, given that RIP-2 is a classless protocol and carries subnet mask information in its updates, it makes sense to allow the network engineer to turn off route summarization to support discontiguous networks. The following command in global configuration mode turns off route summarization:
router rip no auto-summary
