It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Aggressive scan
If you use the -A option, it will enable the following probe:
- Service-version detection (-sV)
- Operating-system detection (-O)
- Script scanning (-sC)
- Traceroute (--traceroute)
