When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What limit should you start with?
It's now time to decide which limit to begin with. Without running for a time, it's very hard to predict what would be the best balance between throughput and lead-time. Your first decision is about how important quick time to market is for you. If it is very important, we suggest you start with tough (low) limits. In practice, that means that the normal is that people are waiting for work instead of work waiting for people to take care of it. In other words, you want the next work station/process step to be ready to start working when you are ready with your part of the work.
