This lesson describes how to apply and remove constraints in a building model. You begin the lesson by learning about constraints and the types of constraints. Then, you learn the steps to apply and remove constraints and some recommended practices for applying constraints. The lesson concludes with an exercise on applying constraints to elements in a building model.
Constraints enable you to lock the position of elements in a building model. Locking elements prevents inadvertent changes to their position. You can lock two elements at a fixed distance and in an alignment. You can also keep a series of elements equally spaced.
