I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing without security
To install Helm without security (this is ideal for running in a sandbox environment), follow these steps:
- Initialize helm and it will install the tiller server in Kubernetes:
$ helm init --service-account tiller
- Wait for tiller to get deployed (you can check kubectl get pods -A).
- Now, check helm version:
$ helm version --shortClient: v2.16.1+gbbdfe5eServer: v2.16.1+gbbdfe5e
If you installed Helm without security, skip the next section and move straight to the Installing the Kubernetes dashboard section.
