I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing step certificates
To recap, we will be using the smallstep Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to generate keys and certificates. The step CLI provides a helm chart for creating certificates:
- First, let's add the helm repository to get the chart:
$ helm repo add smallstep https://smallstep.github.io/helm-charts/"smallstep" has been added to your repositories
- Now, check the helm repository list to view all recent charts:
$ helm repo listNAME URLstable https://kubernetes-charts.storage.googleapis.comlocal http://127.0.0.1:8879/chartssmallstep https://smallstep.github.io/helm-charts/nginx-stable https://helm.nginx.com/stablekaal https://servicemeshbook.github.io/keepalived
- Update the helm repository with the smallstep chart:
$ helm ...
