Financial dimension activation
The creation of a financial dimension does not make it available to be used; the financial dimension must be activated first. Whenever a new financial dimension is created in the application, users receive a message indicating that the financial dimension is not ready to be used until dimension activation is run. The following screenshot illustrates the message:
To activate the financial dimension, go to General ledger | Chart of accounts | Dimensions | Financial dimensions, then select Activate—the following screenshot illustrates the activation message:
