Inventory opening balance
The inventory opening balance phase has some specific considerations; to ensure an accurate inventory opening balance, it is recommended you take into consideration the following points:
- Accurately collect the inventory information items, sites, warehouse, and inventory dimensions, if any
- Item costs and the used valuation method
- Item groups and posting profiles
Use the inventory movement journal to post opening balance to add quantity to inventory, and the generated entry will post to inventory balance sheet account, against bridge account.
