Chapter 7. Animating with Keyframes

In this chapter, I introduce the concept of keyframes, which are central to the animation process. Behaviors are amazingly fast and useful, but sometimes keyframes are the best way to go. And sometimes you’ll want to use both.

After defining keyframes, I cover how to set them for parameters using different aspects of the Motion interface including the Canvas, the Dashboard, and the Inspector. Then I dive into how to modify keyframes, first exploring the Timeline, and then going deep into how to use the primary tool for working with keyframes, the Keyframe Editor.

I discuss how to interpolate the animation between keyframes, which Motion calls curves, and I explore how you can repeat keyframe data through extrapolation. ...
