Motion graphics are usually created as part of an overall workflow designed to most efficiently create elements in different applications and integrate them into the final product. For example, you may be editing in Final Cut Pro HD, creating motion graphics in Motion, and building a DVD in DVD Studio Pro.

Apple has integrated their Pro applications with each other so that you can move back and forth between them by embedding Motion project files directly into Final Cut Pro HD and DVD Studio Pro. This integration obviates the need to render out intermediate files—saving time and hard drive space.
