So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Checking UDP when TCP traffic is blocked
There will be targets where TCP traffic is filtered, so don't forget to check UDP as well. Often administrators forget to filter UDP traffic. In Windows machines, check UDP port 137:
$ nmap -sU -p137 --script smb-security-mode <target>
