How it works...
The argument --script dns-brute initiates the NSE script dns-brute.
dns-brute was developed by Cirrus, and it attempts to discover new hostnames by brute forcing the target's DNS records. The script basically iterates through a hostname list, checking whether the DNS entry exists to find valid records.
This brute force attack is easily detected by security mechanism monitoring for NXDOMAIN responses.
