I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
Nmap supports several output formats, such as normal, XML, grepable, and even script kiddie mode (which was only added for fun). The normal mode is easy to read, and it is recommended if you don't plan on processing or parsing the results. The generated output file will contain the same information that was printed onscreen without the runtime warnings. The option -oN <filename> saves the output in the normal mode in the <filename> file.
