So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract
Measurement of physical parameters using mechanical transducers is an important part of fiber optical sensing. Fiber Bragg grating (FBG)–based sensors with dedicated transducers can be designed to measure different physical parameters and can operate in extremely harsh environments. This makes the FBG sensor very suitable for special applications and has advantages over conventional electrical sensors.
