PRINCE2
PRINCE2 is an acronym for PRojects IN Controlled Environments version 2 (PRINCE2). This was developed by the UK government and represents the standard for managing public projects in the UK. PRINCE2 was created from earlier methods under the names PROMPTII and PRINCE Project Management Methods, which were initially developed by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA) as a UK government standard for IT.
PRINCE2 is based on seven principles, seven themes, and seven processes. The principles are continuous business justifications of the project, learning from experience, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, phased management, outsourcing, product focus, and adaptation to the project's environment.
