Preparing for implementation

Before starting the implementation of your new architecture, there are some prerequisites that need to be considered:

• Assessing processes and procedures
• Assessing IT infrastructure
• Assessing which of your existing software will be retained
• Assessing users and roles
• Preparing data
• Setting up reporting

The purpose of IT solutions is to support business processes and procedures. Understanding them creates a baseline for your implementation. It is important to understand which existing IT solutions with corresponding processes will be removed, and which ones cannot be removed and so need to be integrated and adjusted to support new solutions.
