28.0 Einleitung
Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) ist seit langem eine zentrale Verwaltungsfunktion in Windows. Sie bietet einen erstaunlichen Umfang, eine große Reichweite und eine allgegenwärtige Fernsteuerung.

Eine benutzerfreundlichere Alternative ist das Befehlszeilentool wmic.exe. Mit dem WMIC-Tool kannst du WMI interaktiv abfragen - aber noch wichtiger ist, dass du sein Verhalten automatisieren kannst. Wie bei der PowerShell behalten die Ergebnisse in WMIC einen großen Teil ihrer strukturierten Informationen bei und ermöglichen es dir, ziemlich detaillierte Abfragen zu schreiben:
